Editorial Policy
Standards for sourcing supplier data, interpreting budget product claims, and correcting errors.
Source Evaluation & Listing Audits
Budget art equipment listings often feature contradictory descriptions, vague dimensions, or generic stock photography. Our editorial process adheres to strict verification principles:
All dimensions are converted into millimeters first. Seller claims of pocket size are checked against stated tin measurements rather than promotional lifestyle images.
Marketing terms such as “artist grade” or “lightfast” are reported strictly as manufacturer claims unless the vendor provides verifiable Color Index (CI) numbers and ingredient sheets.
We inventory whether essential accessories—such as mixing wells, clips, swatch cards, and water brushes—are genuinely bundled or sold as separate selections.
Corrections Standard
Overseas sellers regularly revise pan layouts, packaging designs, and included brushes without notice. When vendor specifications change, formulas change, or an error is identified in our breakdowns, we update the corresponding article promptly.
Revisions that materially alter a specification comparison or accessory inventory are noted directly on the affected publication page.
