Evidence Mode: Specification Research
Evaluations on The Pocket Pan are based on structured specification research, seller listings cross-referencing, and technical data analysis. They do not constitute hands-on laboratory longevity testing, chemical binder assays, or multi-year lightfastness exposure trials.
We do not guarantee artistic outcomes, vendor fulfillment speeds, or permanent colorfastness. Products imported from international direct-to-consumer platforms can exhibit batch-to-batch inconsistencies.
Core Comparison Criteria
We structure every comparison around four portable sketching parameters:
Folded Dimensions vs. Mixing Area
Comparing total tin displacement in millimeters against usable lid wells and fold-out mixing surfaces.
Water Management Mechanism
Evaluating included reservoir brush valve construction against the necessity of carrying a separate water cup.
Pan Retention & Modularity
Checking whether half-pans are glued, clipped into metal rails, or secured via magnetic strips for reconfigurability.
Listing Transparency
Assessing whether the supplier discloses actual pigment codes or conceals paint grades behind arbitrary novelty names.
